2020 Quantum shifts
I live and work in Brooklyn, but my paintings are expanding into rockier terrain. In the mountains of Iceland and the American West, I’ve drawn and recorded the rock formations that rise dramatically from the deep or have been gathered by glaciers in peculiar arrangements. In geologic time, their postures are just as temporary as two people talking on the street corner. Poised to convey the wisdom of a preserved past, these rocks speak volumes.
